The Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg (JFBB) and the Motion Picture Association (MPA) announce Partnership
Berlin, 25 January 2024 – The Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg (JFBB) and the Motion Picture Association (MPA) are pleased to announce a new partnership underscoring their commitment to promote the visibility and understanding of Jewish life in Germany.

We are therefore proud to partner with the JFBB and help contribute towards their success by promoting the works of Jewish filmmakers, who tell the stories of the Jewish communities, in Berlin, Brandenburg and beyond,” said Stan McCoy, President and Managing Director, MPA for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The JFBB is known for its outstanding work in presenting Jewish films and culture. This new partnership will enable the festival to expand its program and offer an even wider range of films and cultural events. This presents an important step towards promoting cultural diversity and intercultural dialog in Germany. It makes it possible to create a better understanding and greater appreciation of Jewish life and its history.
The JFBB is the largest Jewish film festival in Germany. For six days, international films of all genres are shown, from arthouse films to blockbusters, from historical observations to family comedies. The festival highlights Jewish history, present and future. In addition, the festival has the mission to keep the memory of the Shoah alive, to convey historical awareness and to counteract antisemitic attitude patterns.
The JFBB shows about 50 films in two competitions for feature and documentary films, and thematic special sections. This year’s 30th anniversary edition of the JFBB will take place from 18-23 June mainly in Berlin and Potsdam but also in other cities in the Federal State of Brandenburg. Patron of the festival is the German Federal Minister of State for Culture and Media, Claudia Roth.
